On August 22, 2026, GIIS KL field and classrooms transformed into vibrant hubs of enthusiasm and collaboration for Parents Engagement Day 2026. The event brought together students from Grades 1 to 5 alongside their parents for a lively celebration designed to bridge classroom learning with hands-on, interactive experiences.
The primary objective of the day was to foster an engaging environment centered on experiential learning, creativity, and active parental involvement. By aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) and promoting key principles of the 9 Gems framework; including Skill Development, Personality Development, Community and Care, and Universal Values and Ethics, the event emphasized holistic growth. Through interactive displays, thoughtful models, subject-based quizzes, and live presentations, students actively applied academic concepts in practical settings while sharpening their communication, problem-solving, and creative-thinking skills.
Across various classrooms and open spaces, learning came alive through a diverse array of subject-based stations. Classrooms featured creative student-made models, immersive displays, puzzles, and hands-on learning games. Students confidently took the lead, explaining complex concepts, demonstrating their projects, and guiding parents through the different activities. Parents enthusiastically joined in, taking on challenges and participating alongside their children, which added a wonderful spirit of teamwork and connection to the occasion.
The activities across all subjects made Parents Engagement Day 2026 a memorable, fun, and engaging celebration. Ultimately, the day succeeded in strengthening the bond between home and school, leaving students with greater confidence in their abilities and giving parents a firsthand look at the joy of collaborative learning.
